Alannah leavitt
Alannah has been involved in dog sports for over 13 years; she first started by helping out at conformation shows, grooming and helping with dogs.
In 2012 she got her first dog, a Rat Terrier named Cassie, and in 2021 Carbon, her Australian shepherd.
Together they have trained and competed in many different sports including but not limited to Rally, Obedience, NASDA, Agility, Barnhunt, Dock Diving, Sprinters, Chase ability, Trick dog, Disc, and Scent Detection.
She learned very quickly the magic of dog sports and how giving your dog a job and purpose can increase their confidence, mental state, channel energy and intensity, while also improving their quality of life, and help make your dog the happiest companion they can be.
Alannah enjoys watching handlers and their dogs having fun together, building relationships, and strengthening bonds.
She became a Barnhunt judge In 2020, and continues to compete and judge all over North America when she's not busy spending weekends with the PDS crew.
Over the years she has participated in multiple seminars, workshops, and competitions, and has had the opportunity to work with and handle a variety of breeds.
She is incredibly appreciative for all the friends, judges and trainers she has met along the way, for all the knowledge and skills they have passed down to help make her the well rounded trainer she is today.
Alannah looks forward to introducing more dogs and handlers to the world of dog sports, and to a fun 2024 season of sports, comradery, and fun.
Cassie is happy to be semi retired from competitive sports, but isn't ready to throw the towel in quite yet. She on occasion attends local scent detection trials and makes sure the young pups know she's still tough competition, and means business.
In 2023 Cassie and her dad Kyle debuted in Nasda together at 12.5 years young. They had a blast and even gave the young dogs a run for their money!
We are excited to see what they achieve this season!
Carbon

Carbon currently competes and trains in all the things, this boy is all gas and no breaks as he is always up for whatever adventure comes his way.
2023 was a very busy Barnhunt season, travelling and competing all over Canada!
When not in the ring Carbon also dabbled in NASDA collecting point for higher titles, and hit the dock on the occasional weekend.
He also debuted in sprinters and chase and loved every minute of it.
He ended the season as the #3 Master Dog in Alberta, #1 Aussie in Alberta, and #3 Aussie in Canada.
We are very excited to see what this young boy will achieve this season!
